Refund and Returns Policy
Digital delivery, cancellation, and refund requests for software, licenses, and subscriptions.
1. Scope and purchase terms
This policy covers BRV Software's software products, browser extensions, WordPress plugins, digital licenses and subscriptions, including Format Painter Pro. Physical packaging, shipping and return-postage conditions do not apply to digital software. Consultancy and custom development have separately agreed scope, delivery and payment terms; this page creates no new cancellation charge or fee for them.
Product/plan information and checkout describe pricing, taxes, license duration, installation/site/device allowance, support, updates, any trial and renewal terms. Do not assume lifetime access, a free trial, unlimited installations or a particular refund guarantee unless expressly offered. More favourable product-specific promises and mandatory consumer rights remain protected.
2. Payments and digital delivery
For Paddle transactions, Paddle is the authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. Its buyer terms and refund policy also apply. BRV Software supplies the software and technical/license support. Check checkout and your receipt for the seller and invoice details.
Delivery may be through a download, customer account, order email, license key or the product's authorised distribution channel. If access is missing after successful payment, check your email folders/account and contact us. Format Painter Pro is a Chrome extension; Google is not the license seller or payment processor.
3. Requesting help or a refund
For a refund, missing delivery, duplicate charge, incorrect order or technical issue, email info@brvsoftware.com. For Paddle purchases, you can also use the receipt's support link or Paddle buyer support. Include your order/transaction reference, purchase email, product/plan and a brief explanation. For technical issues, include the relevant software/browser/WordPress version and redacted error details.
Do not send full card details, passwords or activation tokens. Requests are assessed against transaction terms and applicable rights. Offering technical help does not require you to exhaust support before exercising a statutory refund or withdrawal right.
4. Eligibility and protected rights
Withdrawal periods, digital-content performance rules and exceptions vary by country, transaction and valid consents. Paddle's linked policy explains its country-specific and discretionary rules. This page offers no unconditional 14- or 30-day commercial guarantee; submitting a request on time does not always guarantee approval.
Rights relating to misdescription, material defects, missing delivery and duplicate charges remain protected. Activating a license does not by itself remove all rights. Mandatory protection and more favourable terms expressly offered at purchase prevail over conflicting limitations.
5. Subscription cancellation and license removal
For a renewing plan, use the subscription-management link in your order email/account or the payment provider's support channel to stop future billing. Paddle subscriptions can be cancelled effective at the end of the applicable billing period; your portal shows the transaction-specific period and terms.
Uninstalling software, disabling a WordPress plugin or removing a device/site activation does not cancel billing or request a refund. Cancelling a subscription and refunding a past payment are separate actions.
An approved refund, reversal or payment dispute may affect rights associated with that purchase. The effect on the current usage period and access depends on the transaction terms and applicable rights.
6. Processing, compatibility and updates
Approved refunds are handled by the relevant payment provider, using the original payment method where possible. Bank/provider posting times vary; the provider's notice and applicable legal time limits govern. If a notified refund is missing, contact billing support with the transaction reference.
Review current system requirements and limitations before purchase. The current Format Painter Pro requires Chrome 137 or later, cannot style protected Chrome pages and makes temporary local previews. WordPress product requirements appear on their product pages. For technical help or installation-limit recovery, contact info@brvsoftware.com.
This page may be updated. Later changes do not retroactively remove accrued or mandatory rights. Keep your order confirmation and purchase terms.
